With One Hour Left, Some Precincts Extended Hours, Georgia Democrats Urge Voters To Go Vote, Stay In Line, Call Voter Protection Hotline

ATLANTA – With one hour left until polls close, the Democratic Party of Georgia encourages all voters who have not yet voted to make their voice heard at the ballot box, and get in line to vote by 7pm. All voters in line by 7pm have the right to stay in line and cast their ballot. 

A number of precincts in counties across Georgia have extended polling hours, including the list below: 

  • DeKalb County
    • Valley Brook now open until 7:40pm 
    • Obama Elementary now open until 7:45pm 
  • Gwinnett County
    • South Gwinnett Baptist Church now open until 7:04pm 
    • Ferguson Elementary now open until 7:20pm 
  • Houston County
    • County Annex now open until 7:40pm 
  • Richmond County 
    • Mount Vernon Baptist Church now open until 7:15pm 

Georgians who have received an absentee ballot but not yet returned it should return their ballot at a ballot drop box in the county where they are registered by 7:00 PM today. Voters who requested an absentee ballot can also choose to void their ballots and go vote in person at their assigned polling location.
