Perdue Claims Walker Won’t Win if Kemp is GOP Governor Nominee

December 9, 2021

The Georgia GOP’s “political civil war” continues to ramp up. With Herschel Walker still refusing to endorse Brian Kemp, David Perdue added fuel to the fire, claiming on the Doug Collins Show that embattled Governor Brian Kemp would drag down Walker if he was on the ballot. Check out Perdue’s latest comments on the Senate race below:

  • Perdue ties himself to Walker as the Trump-backed candidates: Trump formally endorsed his handpicked candidates of Perdue and Walker, directly linking them together as an “unstoppable team” for Trump supporters. Perdue added: “One of the benefits of me getting in is I’m going to work hard to make sure we bring everybody back together in November to elect not just the governor, but to make sure we get that Senate back.”

“The nasty GOP infighting is very revealing of Republican priorities: pointing fingers and dragging each other down,” said Dan Gottlieb, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “While Republicans fight each other, Democrats are focused on rebuilding our infrastructure, expanding access to health care, and delivering relief for hardworking Georgians in every corner of the state.”
