ICYMI: Kemp Vows to Support Trump If He’s GOP Nominee

This weekend, Brian Kemp confirmed that he will vote for Donald Trump if Trump becomes the GOP presidential nominee – even though Kemp admits that Trump lied about the 2020 election, he accuses Trump of putting himself “ahead of the future of our country”, and he consistently attempts to style himself as a critic of Trump and the MAGA wing of the GOP.

“Kemp’s promise to support Trump is a reminder to Georgians that no matter how he may play the moderate for political points, Kemp is just as MAGA as Marjorie Taylor Greene or any of his other pro-Trump Georgia Republican colleagues when it counts,” said DPG spokesperson Ellie Schwartz. “Kemp may be building his political brand on ‘standing up’ to Trump’s extremism, but his willingness to even consider putting that same extremist right back in the White House after everything we have seen and learned over the last few years shows Georgians where he really stands.”
