Latest independent outlet to call out Perdue for being so “insistent on misinterpreting” the facts that he “should be ashamed of himself”

ATLANTA — 11Alive’s Verify Team took a close look at Senator David Perdue’s claims in his TV ads about Jon Ossoff and declared “these claims are false,” debunking Perdue’s repeated “false” claims that Ossoff was “endorsed” by the Communist Party and “funded” by the “Chinese Communist Government.”

11Alive joins a chorus of independent fact checkers that have called out Senator David Perdue’s “flatly false” lies. In the Associated Press’ rebuke of Perdue’s false claim that Ossoff is “endorsed by the Communist Party,” they point out that Perdue is “insistent on misinterpreting” the facts.

The Washington Post gave Senator David Perdue four Pinocchios on the same “outrageously false” claim, noting Perdue’s lie is so false, it’s “almost worthy of parody,” and said Senator Perdue “should be ashamed of himself” and “apologize.”

“Senator Perdue has resorted to telling flat out lies about his opponent to distract from his corrupt, toxic record of trading stocks in industries he oversaw,” said Braxton Brewington, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Georgians cannot trust a single thing he says.”
