DPG Statement on Trump’s Visit to Georgia on Sunday Before Election Day

October 29, 2020

In response to Donald Trump’s scheduled rally in Rome, Georgia the Sunday before Election Day, Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Nikema Williams released the following statement:

“This last ditch effort by Donald Trump to salvage his sinking campaign isn’t fooling anyone. Georgians have endured devastation and chaos because of Trump’s ineffective leadership, and more broken promises two days before Election Day can’t change that. More than 7,800 Georgians have died from coronavirus, 355,000 have been infected, and 1.4 million Georgians have received unemployment benefits over the last seven months. And, Donald Trump still has no plan to help the 1.8 million Georgians with pre-existing conditions who will lose protections if he gets his way in overturning the Affordable Care Act. Nothing Donald Trump says on Sunday will change the fact that his chaotic and ineffective leadership has left Georgians worse off. Do not wait — cast your ballot TODAY for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.”
