DPG Statement on Kemp’s Attempt to Hide His Signature of House Bill 316

ATLANTA – Today, following reports that Governor* Kemp signed HB 316 behind closed doors away from the public eye, Democratic Party of Georgia spokeswoman Maggie Chambers released the following statement:

“In waiting to sign his own corrupt voting machine bill until the dead of night, Brian Kemp shows us once again that he’s too cowardly to own up to his own actions. Since his time as Secretary of State, he’s blatantly shown that he’d rather use millions of taxpayer dollars to support his cronies rather than make sure that Georgia’s elections are secure and our votes are counted. Unfortunately for him, the people are watching – and Georgia Democrats won’t stop holding him and all vote suppressors accountable.”
