DPG Chair Statement on Charleston Tragedy

Atlanta, GA – Today, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair DuBose Porter issued the following statement on last night’s tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston and the people of South Carolina. Emanuel is a place where good people went to pray for good things and pray for one another. Like so many others, my heart is just broken. When events like these occur, we should rally around our brothers and sisters and seek new ways to create a world where there is no room for hate.”
