Democratic Party of Georgia Statement on Robust March Jobs Report

Today, a new report from the Department of Labor detailed that the U.S. economy under President Biden’s leadership added 431,000 jobs in March and the unemployment rate has fallen to 3.6%. Following this strong jobs report, Scott Hogan, Executive Director of the Democratic Party, released the following statement:

“Thanks to President Biden’s economic vision and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan, Americans are back at work at a record-setting pace. This didn’t happen by accident – our economy is booming and Georgians have job opportunities because of the steps the President took to get our economy moving again and get the pandemic under control, despite Georgia Republicans’ attempts to block this progress. While there is still more work to do to build on the successes of the past fourteen months, today’s job report is another sign of how far the economy has come since 2020 and the historic progress we’ve made under the Biden-Harris administration’s leadership.”
