Democratic Party of Georgia Statement on National Voter Registration Day

September 28, 2021

Today, on National Voter Registration Day, Georgia Democrats remain committed to ensuring that every Georgia voter is able to participate in our democracy, especially amid discriminatory voter suppression laws that make it harder for Georgians to access the ballot box. Georgians can go to IWillVote.com to register to vote or update their voter registration, or call the Georgia Voter Protection hotline at 1-888-730-5816.

“There is so much at stake in Georgia’s upcoming November municipal elections and 2022 midterm elections – from defeating the pandemic once and for all to rebuilding the economy back better and protecting the sacred right to vote,” said Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Today and every day, Georgia Democrats are working nonstop to register voters and fight back against voter suppression to ensure that every Georgia voter can exercise their fundamental right to vote safely and easily. We urge all Georgians to join us in this crucial effort – our democracy depends on it.”
