Democratic Party of Georgia Responds to Ending of State of Emergency

In response to the announcement that Georgia’s state of emergency is coming to an end, Scott Hogan, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:

“As Georgia and America welcome the return of normalcy, we have the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats in Congress to thank – not Brian Kemp or a single Georgia Republican. Kemp and Republicans have failed Georgia at every stage of this pandemic, from contradicting public health experts in the reopening of our state to botching the vaccine rollout process. Meanwhile, President Biden and Democrats’ historic American Rescue Plan has jump-started our economy, delivered vaccines and crucial relief to working Georgians, and provided the resources to help our cities, small businesses, and schools reopen and recover.

“Georgia voters will remember that while Brian Kemp and Republicans put politics before our health and safety at every turn, it was President Biden and Democrats who got the pandemic under control and put our country and our state back on track.”
