Democratic Party of Georgia Celebrates Pride Month

As Georgia celebrates the first day of Pride Month, Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:

“This month, we are proud to celebrate Georgia’s LGBTQ+ community and rededicate ourselves to building a state where every Georgian can safely be their authentic self. Georgia Democrats are deeply committed to fighting for equality for LGBTQ Georgians – especially as extreme Republicans continue to make rolling back LGBTQ rights and targeting trans people a centerpiece of their agenda. Amid rising right-wing attacks on the LGBTQ community, it is more critical than ever that we stand together with pride against hatred.

“To our LGBTQ friends, family, and neighbors all across Georgia – we see you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you this month and every month in the march towards equality, dignity, and justice.”
