January 29, 2024

Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia announced the date and featured speakers for its 2024 Carter-Lewis Dinner. The dinner, to be held on February 8th, will feature North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper as keynote speaker, as well as remarks from Congresswoman Nikema Williams and other Georgia Democrats.

Currently serving his second term as North Carolina’s Governor, Gov. Roy Cooper has been a champion for access to health care, strong public education, and action on climate change. He has worked to revitalize North Carolina’s rural communities, created tens of thousands of new jobs across the state, and recently signed legislation making North Carolina the 41st state in the nation to fully expand Medicaid.

The Carter-Lewis Dinner will provide an opportunity for Democrats from across the state to gather in Atlanta to connect, celebrate Georgia’s continued status as the premiere battleground in the country, and prepare to keep turning Georgia blue up and down the ballot in 2024.
