Democratic Party of Georgia Adds Key Staff

May 7, 2024

Today, the DPG is announcing key additions to its team ahead of the crucial 2024 election cycle.

“While our Republican counterparts burn money defending their actions four years ago to illegally overturn an election result they didn’t like, Georgia Democrats continue to make dynamic additions to our team that will help us succeed this year and beyond,” said DPG Executive Director Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye.

Felicia Agostini is the Finance Director. The Atlanta native and Georgia State graduate returns to Georgia after helping the Virginia State Senate Caucus raise money and hold their majority in the 2023 general election. An alum of Jen Jordan’s and Erick Allen’s statewide campaigns, Felicia’s first staff job in politics was as call time manager for Carolyn Bourdeaux’s 2018 Congressional race. Felicia would like to remind everyone that DPG press releases don’t write themselves, and that you can start a recurring monthly investment today: DONATE [email protected]

Dave Hoffman is the Communications Director. Dave has served three U.S. Senators in Washington, worked on top battleground U.S. Senate campaigns in North Carolina (twice) and Florida, and managed a U.S. Senate primary in Georgia that advanced without a runoff in 2016. More recently, Dave was a Senior Advisor for Democrats Serve, a hybrid committee that supported now-Congressman Gabe Amo’s victory in a twelve-candidate special election Democratic primary last September. Dave and his wife, Lacey, are thrilled to return to Georgia with their two rescue dogs, Cooper and June. [email protected]

Ellie Schwartz has been promoted to Deputy Communications Director. Ellie has worked in the DPG press operation since 2021, and served as DPG’s Press Secretary during the 2022 cycle that saw Reverend Warnock re-elected to a full term in the U.S. Senate. She notes that any typos in future press releases should be attributed to her senior cat Izzy, who serves as Ellie’s purr-ess secretary. [email protected]

Alex Yerkey is the Director of Rapid Response. The son of two newspaper editors, Alex returns to Georgia after his previous Operations Data Director role on Jon Ossoff’s winning U.S. Senate campaign in 2020-2021. He later worked for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) in a similar capacity, focusing on battleground state legislative races. Alex thinks your readers really need to know about that story your editor has not (yet) agreed to let you investigate. [email protected]

Dr. Alexis Harris is the Deputy Digital Director. Alexis served as Digital Communications Manager for U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock’s successful reelection campaign in 2022 while simultaneously completing her doctorate at Clark Atlanta University. As a political scientist and college professor, Alexis finds creative solutions to educate, entertain, and engage voters at every stage of the electoral process. [email protected]
