President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan is Bringing Georgia Families Back Together

This weekend, Georgians were able to come back together to celebrate Independence Day thanks to the success of the Biden-Harris administration and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan. With the plan’s unprecedented vaccine program and historic investment in reopening and recovering – including a $17.4 billion investment in Georgia – America added 850,000 jobs to the economy in June, according to a report last week from the U.S. Labor Department. That’s a total of more than 3 million jobs since the President took office – the most in the first five months of a presidency on record. 

“Thanks to the shots in arms and checks in pockets from President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan, Georgia families came back together this year for the Fourth of July weekend,” said Rhyan Lake, spokeswoman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Friday’s record jobs report showed that the Biden economy is booming as America added 850,000 jobs in June – the most in the first 5 months of a presidency on record. The Biden boom has lowered taxes for middle-class Georgia families, created more than 3 million jobs in the U.S., and increased wages for workers. 

“Now, it’s time to take historic action to strengthen Georgia’s infrastructure by passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework – the largest long-term investment in our infrastructure and competitiveness in nearly a century – to rebuild our roads and bridges, address the impacts of climate change, and create a generation of good-paying union jobs and economic growth across Georgia.”
