Augusta Voters Stand Against Herschel Walker

Today, Augusta voters held a press conference highlighting Herschel Walker’s pattern of lies and disturbing behaviors. Speakers discussed how Walker’s long, damning pattern of lies, scams, and disturbing conduct proves he is not ready to represent Georgians.

With one week of early voting to go, speakers reminded Georgians why Walker has not earned their vote to represent them in the U.S. Senate. 

“I’m Rep. Gloria Frazier, and I’ve been serving the people of Georgia for over 15 years. But beyond being a public servant for my community, I’m a mother. That’s why I am so disturbed by Herschel Walker’s well-documented pattern of lies and disturbing behavior, especially surrounding his pattern of violence against women,” said Rep. Gloria Frazier, House District 126 and Columbus mom. “Just this morning, another of Walker’s ex-girlfriends said she felt ‘threatened’ by Walker. His pattern of conduct is disturbing, and above all, disqualifying. This man has a long history of disturbing conduct that he’s never taken accountability for — and Georgians deserve to know all of the facts before they make their decision.”

“As a veteran, I chose to put my life on the line to protect my fellow Georgians and my fellow Americans. And so I share the shock and disgust of my fellow speakers at the many reports on Herschel Walker’s pattern of disturbing behavior and lies. As someone who served in uniform, I find all of this disgusting,” said Renee Coleman, Army Veteran. “What kind of person targets veterans and servicemembers to make more money? Apparently, the same kind of person who promises ‘millions of dollars to charities’ that he never planned on giving. It is shameless and extremely inappropriate for anyone to prey on veterans and their families, let alone someone trying to serve in the United States Senate. Georgia deserves a Senator who remains committed to the values we stand for.”

“What Herschel Walker is doing – boasting and lying, for political benefit – is disgusting. But we’ve seen it for months and months — he lies about every aspect of his life, and he fails to take responsibility for any of it. Walker has a long history of disturbing conduct that he’s never taken accountability for — and Georgians deserve to know all of the facts before they make their decision,” said Ray Montana, union member and community activist. “The whole point of serving in the Senate is to help people — but it appears Walker is only interested in helping himself. The choice is clear, Georgia: we’ve got to re-elect Reverend Warnock, who has a record of actually supporting workers and doers like me — bringing down costs, addressing supply chain issues, and creating good-paying jobs that sustain Georgia families — instead of just pretending to like Herschel Walker.”
