Georgia Democrats Launch Statewide Coordinated Campaign to Elect Democrats Up and Down the Ballot in 2022

“Georgia Votes” Coordinated Campaign poised to be largest ever for midterm election in year with both Senate and Governor seats at stake

Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia announced the launch of its Coordinated Campaign, “Georgia Votes,” a unified statewide campaign focused on organizing and mobilizing communities across Georgia to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2022. Georgia Votes will work to re-elect Reverend Raphael Warnock to the U.S. Senate, elect Stacey Abrams as our next governor, and power Democratic victories throughout the state — from electing Democrats in critical statewide and congressional races to winning key state House and Senate races.

Ebonee Dawson is serving as the Coordinated Campaign Director for Georgia Votes. Dawson, an experienced Democratic strategist and attorney, most recently served as National Political Director for End Citizens United/Let America Vote. Prior to that, she was Political Director for Cal Cunningham’s North Carolina Senate campaign, and has dedicated her career to executing successful campaigns on all levels of government from municipal races to high-profile federal campaigns.

In partnership with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Coordinated Campaign will serve as a central hub of Democrats’ statewide political infrastructure, laser-focused on training and organizing Democrats to help get out of the vote and engage Georgians, especially communities of color, ahead of the November election. It will also include a robust voter protection team to strengthen efforts to combat voter suppression.
