The Georgia Delegate Selection Plan for the 2012 Democratic National Convention has been approved and submitted to the DNC for review/approval.
A thirty day public comment period from May 26 – June 24, 2011 was open for review of the “Georgia Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plan” as provided for compliance in accordance with Rule 1 C of the Delegate Selection Rules issued for the 2012 Democratic National Convention by the Democratic National Committee.
On June 25, 2011, the voting body of the Democratic Party of Georgia approved this plan for submission to the Democratic National Committee.

District 10 Convention Delegate Training
Starts: 6:00 pm
Ends: 8:00 pm, February 23, 2012
Location: Bishop Community Center, downtown Bishop, GA
Description: Democrats all over Georgia have begun the process of selecting delegates to the Democratic National Convention which will be held September 3-6, 2012. Of the 124 delegates from Georgia, the 10th Congressional District will send five - three men and two women.
Each candidate for convention delegate must be at least 17½ years old, a registered voter in District 10, and a Democrat. Anyone who would like to learn more about the process is invited to attend one of three training sessions. Forms and further details will be distributed at that time.
The formal election of the five delegates from District 10 will be held at the Morgan County High School in Madison, GA, on Saturday, April 21.
