Walker Aligns Himself With The Most Dangerous Elements Of The GOP In Closing Pitch

December 2, 2022

In the final week of the runoff, Herschel turns to Kanye West, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham to boost his campaign

Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “Herschel Walker’s campaign has been beneath Georgia voters”

In the final week of Georgia’s U.S. Senate runoff election, Herschel Walker continues to align himself with the most dangerous elements of the Republican Party.

Walker has refused to denounce the support of Kanye West despite his antisemitic rhetoric, is taking thousands of dollars in campaign cash from extremist Marjorie Taylor Greene, and has repeatedly appeared with fellow national abortion ban supporters Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz. By embracing the most dangerous and out-of-touch elements of his party in the closing weeks of his campaign, Walker is revealing exactly how he’d vote in the U.S. Senate.

See Walker’s closing message for yourself:

Walker has failed to denounce the endorsement of antisemite Kanye West. During an interview with Alex Jones, Kanye West doubled down on his endorsement of Walker in the Georgia Senate race. In the same interview, Kanye West said “I like Hitler,” and “we gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time,” while reaffirming his support of Walker.

  • Greg Bluestein, AJC: “In an interview with Alex Jones, Ye continues to spout antisemitic attacks — and endorses Herschel Walker again.”

  • Josh Kraushaar, Axios: “Herschel Walker’s silence on Trump’s dinner with Kanye/Fuentes speaks volumes in contrast to Gov. Brian Kemp’s outspoken condemnation.”

  • Shannon McCaffrey, AJC: “I yelled a question at him from afar and in the dark about Nick Fuentes and got a wave.  Last Walker presser was Oct. 6 by my calculation.”

Just yesterday, Marjorie Taylor Greene doubled down on her endorsement of Walker. Walker has been closely associated with Marjorie Taylor Greene throughout his campaign. Greene has a history of anti-semitic remarks, supported the January 6th rioters, and promotes dangerous conspiracy theories.

And Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz have repeatedly chaperoned Walker in Fox News interviews and campaign events. Walker has let Trump-acolytes and fellow national abortion ban supporters Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz do the talking for him on the campaign trail – all while Walker himself has gone “nearly two months” without holding a press conference or speaking to any outlet outside of the conservative ecosystem.
