“More Than Two Dozen Events” in a Row, Herschel Walker “Has Not Answered Reporters’ Questions”

November 21, 2022

The New York Times: “His campaign has kept to its habit of eschewing the news media: It has now held more than two dozen events in which Mr. Walker has not answered reporters’ questions.”

Georgia Public Broadcasting: “Maybe one day a potential U.S. Senator will face any sort of substantive questioning by someone other than Sean Hannity.”

It has now been “more than two dozen events” in a row since Herschel Walker took a question from anyone but the most friendly conservative media outlets, doubling down on his strategy of hiding from Georgians’ concerns and refusing to answer even a single basic question on the trail — avoiding any explanation for his damning pattern of lies, scams, and disturbing conduct. The more Walker dodges, the clearer it is he is unfit to represent Georgians in the U.S. Senate.

Take a look at what Georgians are seeing for yourself:

  • The New York Times: “His campaign has kept to its habit of eschewing the news media: It has now held more than two dozen events in which Mr. Walker has not answered reporters’ questions. Representatives for Mr. Walker did not respond to requests for comment.”

  • Georgia Public Broadcasting: “Herschel speech ended after 15 minutes and – shocking nobody – he’s not being made available to answer media questions. Gov. Kemp left quickly too. Maybe one day a potential U.S. Senator will face any sort of substantive questioning by someone other than Sean Hannity…”

  • The Atlanta Voice: “Herschel Walker held a rally in Smyrna at the ‘Largest Gun Store in the World’ and he did not answer any questions.

  • ABC News: “Tried to ask Herschel Walker if he wants former President Trump to campaign for him. No response. We were told Walker would not gaggle with press because he has a ‘tight schedule.’”

  • The Washington Post: “Herschel Walker did not respond to [Lalee Ibssa] asking if he wants Trump to come campaign for him. His team ushered him inside and said no questions.”
