December 1, 2022

AJC: “After going two months without taking questions from reporters covering his campaign, Walker’s aides are taking new steps to insulate him from even shouted press questions”

Insider: “Herschel Walker’s team isn’t allowing journalists ‘within 20 feet of him’ in lead up to Senate runoff”

It has been more than 44 days since Herschel Walker took a question from anyone but the most friendly conservative media outlets. Now, Walker isn’t just dodging questions – his campaign is “taking new steps to insulate him from even shouted press questions” by implementing a new rule at his events that “journalists can’t get within 20 feet of Walker.”

Walker’s inability to answer even the most basic policy questions on the campaign trail, and his failure to address his damning pattern of lies, scams, and disturbing conduct, prove once again that he is unfit for office.

  • Axios Atlanta, Emma Hurt: New rule at Herschel Walker events: journalists can’t get within 20 feet of Walker afterwards. It would seem this is to prevent journalists from shouting questions. Because Walker hasn’t had a presser for nearly 2 months, press have been left with no other choice.”

  • Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Greg Bluestein: “After going two months without taking questions from reporters covering his campaign, Walker’s aides are taking new steps to insulate him from even shouted press questions”

  • FOX 5 Atlanta, Randy Travis: “Anyone who runs for office shouldn’t be afraid to answer reporter questions.”

  • Georgia Public Broadcasting, Stephen Fowler: “In my 4+ years of covering Georgia politics this is the only campaign from either side of the aisle I’ve never been able to get an interview with/have any sort of meaningful dialogue with. Even the ones that didn’t like my coverage! How do they think this works if he gets to DC?”
