OPTION 1: Vote Early in Person

If you can, make a plan now to vote early in person.

  • When: Early in-person voting runs from October 12 to October 29, including Saturdays. Some counties also have Sunday voting.
  • Where: You can vote early in-person at any polling place in your county.
  • How: Sign in to My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov or call the hotline at 1-888-730-5816 to find your early voting locations and times.

OPTION 2: Vote By Mail

If you have already requested an absentee ballot, return it ASAP once you receive it.

  • When: Ballots will be mailed to voters starting October 11. They must be returned and received by Election Day November 2.
  • How: You can return your ballot one of three ways:
    • Mail: You can mail your ballot to your county registrar’s office. If mailing your ballot, we recommend you do so by October 26 so it arrives by Election Day on November 2.
    • Ballot drop box: You can drop your ballot off at a ballot drop box in the county in which you are registered to vote until October 29. Call the hotline at 1-888-730-5816 for information on where ballot drop boxes are located.
    • Drop off in person: You can bring your ballot directly to your county registrar’s office during business hours by Election Day on November 2. Sign in to My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov or call the hotline at 1-888-730-5816 to find the address for your county registrar’s office.

If you have not yet requested an absentee ballot, we encourage you to make a plan to vote early in-person. But if voting by mail is easiest for you, request your ballot ASAP.

  • When: October 22 is the last day absentee ballot requests will be accepted.
  • Where: Requests must be returned to your county registrar’s office. Sign in to My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov or call the hotline at 1-888-730-5816 to find the address, email address, and fax number for your county registrar’s office.
  • How: Sign in to My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov to download an absentee ballot request form. After filling it out, you can return it one of three ways:
    • Mail: You can mail your request to your county registrar’s office. If mailing your request, we recommend you do so by October 18 so it arrives in time by October 22.
    • Email or fax: You can email or fax your request to your county registrar’s office.
    • Drop off in person: You can drop your request off in person at your county registrar’s office.
