DPG Chairwoman Nikema Williams Statement on Record-Breaking Voter Turnout on the First Day of Georgia Early Vote

ATLANTA — Following the first day of record-breaking early voter turnout, Democratic Party of Georgia Chairwoman Nikema Williams issued the following statement:

“The incredible turnout and dedication we’re seeing from Georgians across the state shows what we already know: Georgia voters are more determined than ever to make their voices heard in this election, and won’t let anything stop them. This election is already breaking records, and we need to make sure every single voting site is equipped to handle this historic turnout, including keeping doors open until all people in line have voted, like many metro sites are doing today. We encourage every single Georgian to exercise their right to vote, and to vote early — your voice will be heard in this election.“
