Democratic Party of Georgia Statement On Reports of State House Candidate’s Offensive 2009 Blog Post

September 17, 2020

ATLANTA – Today, Democratic Party of Georgia Executive Director Scott Hogan released the following statement on reports of Caroline Holko’s offensive past blog post from 2009:

“I will be unequivocal in saying the views expressed in the 2009 blog post have no home in the Democratic Party. They are completely incompatible with our beliefs and values. Caroline has apologized for the post, and committed to proving that she stands with Black lives, and to fighting systemic racism in all its forms. As a party, we will hold her accountable to that promise, as we continue our fight for justice for all Georgians.”
