Democratic Party of Georgia statement on CMS Administrator Seema Verma’s visit to Georgia today

July 27, 2020

Trump’s Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Seema Verma is in Georgia today. In response, the Democratic Party of Georgia executive director Scott Hogan released the following statement:

“In order to protect our most vulnerable communities, Trump needed to implement a comprehensive testing strategy, ensure frontline workers have the PPE they needed, and advocate for common-sense measures like wearing a mask. Instead, Trump failed to take this crisis seriously and 143,000 Americans have died on his watch. No amount of spin from his lackeys can make up for their gross incompetence. Instead of more empty promises, we need real leadership and a commitment to prioritizing public health.”
