Our Purpose

The purpose of the Democratic Party of Georgia Disabilities Caucus is to provide Persons with Disabilities and those within the Democratic Party to whom the rights of citizens with disabilities are of concern, a strong voice and representation within the party structure, encouraging persons with disabilities to participate fully as Democrats at all levels of policy making and public service. An additional purpose shall be to organize Persons with Disabilities within the Democratic Party and assist them to participate in all Democratic Party activities and educate the Democratic Party of Georgia about issues that affect People with Disabilities.


Who Can Join

If you are a member of the Disability community and a Democrat, you can join by contacting Caucus Chair Madeline Ryan Smith. The Disability Community is made of People with Disabilities, people who are their supporters, family and friends.

Meetings are held via conference call the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM. For dial-in information, contact the Chair.
