Stephanie Woods Miller

Stephanie Woods Miller is the Secretary of the Democratic Party of Georgia. Ms. Miller is a lifelong Democrat who has previously worked as a staffer for the Democratic Party of Georgia, the Democratic National Committee and has been elected as a Delegate to the 2008 Convention in Denver as well as the 2012 Convention in Charlotte. She is the immediate past Chairwoman of the 8th Congressional District.

Attorney Stephanie Woods Miller serves as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Bibb County Superior Court Clerk’s Office in Macon, Georgia. On January 7, 2013 Ms. Miller was sworn in as the first African American, as well as the youngest person, to hold the office of Chief Deputy Clerk.

Prior to accepting her current position, Ms. Miller was the founding attorney of the law firm of Woods-Miller & Associates, LLC which specialized in consumer bankruptcy, small business establishment and development and a wide range of civil and litigation matters. Ms. Miller is active in her community and committed to increasing civic engagement and participation. Stephanie is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Macon Bar Association, National League of Cities, National Association of Court Management, Georgia Council of Court Administrators, and Women Impacting Public Policy.

After being nominated by Congressman Sanford Bishop, Ms. Miller was confirmed as a member of the Georgia State Advisory Committee of the United States Commission on Civil Rights. She continues to serve her community as a board member of the United Way of Central Georgia, a member of the Macon Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the House of Hope Macon Church.
Attorney Stephanie Woods Miller is a graduate of Florida A&M University-B.S.-Business Administration, Tulane Law School-Juris Doctorate and Wesleyan College-MBA.
