Hotline Volunteers Ready To Assist High Number Of Callers Today, Including Providing Rides To The Polls

ATLANTA — Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia urged the state’s voters to look up their polling locations before going to vote. Polling locations can be found at www.georgiademocrat.org/vote. In addition, the Party urged voters to call the voter protection hotline at 1-888-730-5816 with any voting-related questions, or if they need a ride to the polls. Volunteers will be ready to assist voters starting before polls open today and until after polls close.

ABOUT THE VOTER PROTECTION HOTLINE

The Democratic Party of Georgia was the first state party in the country to hire a full-time, permanent voter protection director. Our 24/7 voter protection hotline, 1-888-730-5816, assists voters with questions about voting and enables the Democratic Party of Georgia to identify and address voter protection-related issues. We promote our hotline in campaign materials, on social media, and in press releases and we are eager to take voters’ calls. We encourage the media to publish the hotline’s phone number.

Our hotline is staffed by 180 trained volunteers. Some are attorneys and some are just regular folks who care deeply about protecting the voting of every eligible Georgian.

We now talk to more than 1,000 voters on an average day, and we are prepared for much higher call volume on Election Day. One voter at a time, our hotline is doing what Brian Kemp won’t do: protect the right of every eligible Georgian to cast their ballot and have their ballot counted.
