Oasis Family Life Church and the Democratic Party of Paulding County are teaming up to distribute food provided by Tallatoona Community Action Partners and donated clothing to all flood victims in Paulding County.

We need volunteers to meet on Saturday, the 26th at Oasis Family Life Church to help sort through donated clothing and other items for distribution on Tuesday, September 29th. Everyone who wishes to volunteer or donate miscellaneous items, clothing or food, should contact Andrea (Oasis) 770-598-5944 or Cathy (DPPC) at 678-318-1878.

The flooding postponed this event and there are a lot of people out of their homes and in need of this assistance.

We will gather on Thursday, the 24th to sort and bag the USDA food and need help distributing to the people who come to the Center on Friday morning to get help. We will be doing clothing assistance next week.

We will be assisting Atlanta Community Toolbank with their current project. The ToolBank HouseProud program provides no-cost repairs to low-income senior and /or disabled homeowners living in ten downtown Atlanta neighborhoods. The primary goal of HouseProud is to keep homeowners warm, safe and dry in their existing homes.

This time we're going to be doing fall clean-up and planting fall crops in a garden in Decatur. The Environmental Education Center has an interesting Community Garden as well as a demonstration garden and an equine rescue program (so lots of manure!)

Please be there on Tuesday morning at 9:00am for orientation by ACFB's Fred Conrad. We will be done by noon.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank will provide tools, material, instruction and refreshments. Please wear closed shoes and bring your own sunscreen and insect repellant.

Heading west on Hwy. 76, go through Blairsville to the Shell Service Station. Turn Right @ Nottely Dam Rd/Hwy 325 N. Go 2.8 miles past the old yellow house on the left. See sign & site on the left @ gravel driveway.

Commodities will be delivered on Monday, 9/21. They will need volunteers to sort and bag the food on Tuesday, 9/22 and distribute to low-income people on Wednesday, 9/23. The elderly will need help getting the bags of food to their cars. Volunteers should show up at 8:30 a.m.

Distribution takes place at the Endtime Warriors Church for Christ on Carrollton Street in Buchanan.

The Forsyth County Democrats will help the Ninth District Opportunity bag and distribute free Commodity Food to income-eligible families and seniors. The work will involve unloading the food and putting it in bags. Minimum age is 16. Please wear comfortable clothes. The location is the Family Center in downtown Cumming.

Join Towns County Dems as we meet the truck bringing supplies and make boxes up of food for low-income households. On Tuesday we meet and help distribute the boxes. It is a very worth-while cause. Look forward to seeing you!

Join Habersham Democrats as they help bag and distribute food for low-income families. It is "The Emergency Food Assistance Program" (TEFAP) where qualifying households can receive much-needed food staples. It is a program that is happening state-wide.

We will help get this food to those who need it most. And we will be done by noon!
Lunch is provided to volunteers.
