Doug Heckman

Doug Heckman, a Norcross resident, is running for Congress in Georgia's 7th District. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Heckman also holds an MBA from Duke University.

He currently serves as a Colonel in the Army Reserve. He recently served in Iraq for 13 months as a senior advisor to the Iraqi military, earning the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge. A member of the U.S. Army Special Forces (the "Green Berets"), Heckman also recently served in Afghanistan. As a civilian, he is a Managing Director for a large asset management firm.
